Can I connect my Transmitter/ Radio to the PS4 and fly? Yes!
*** However this may come with some restrictions, depending on your Radio in particular.
While many radios do work on the PS4 in the DRL Sim, it is impossible to know if every make and model of transmitter will work with the PS4.
What will you need? Just the USB cable to connect your Transmitter to the PS4. You may also need to change the USB mode in the radio's settings to "joystick" rather than "storage" when connecting the radio to a device.
Steps to connect Transmitter to PS4:
1. Turn on your PS4 and Launch the DRL sim.
2. While in the DRL Sim, Main Menu, click on the controller box at the bottom, it should list your PS controller currently. This will take you to the Controller Setup screen.
3. Now ensure your radio is on, and plug it into the PS4's USB port. Depending on your radio, you may need to turn it on first, then plug it in, or plug it in, and then turn it on. Please follow your Transmitters manufactures instructions on the proper order when connecting to a PC.
4. The controller box at the bottom, may have changed to read Radio. Using your PS controller, please select the Quick Calibration button. Use the PS controller to then click the Calibrate button on the next screen.
5. Now we will use the Transmitter for this portion of the calibration process. Please follow the onscreen prompts until you get to the Input trim screen.
5. Using your PS controller, you can adjust your trim, invert channels if need be, and adjust your deadzones. Be sure to click the Save button before leaving this screen.
From here out, you will use your PS controller for in-game navigation, and when in flight, use your transmitter.
